The NX-5000 Series supports 2 digital CAIs — P25 (Phases 1 & 2) and NXDN™ – plus FM analog in a single radio. Unsurpassed interoperability is in your hands.
A desired CAI can be selected at will – whether you are intent on going fully digital, undecided about which digital system to pick, or just wanting to maintain both digital and analog for a while.
P25 Phase 1&2 Digital CAI
P25 is a digital CAI to ensure interoperability among public safety agencies. The NX-5000 Series is compatible with Phase 1 (conventional and trunked), and Phase 2 (trunked).
NXDN™ Digital CAI
NXDN™ is a very narrowband protocol employing 6.25/12.5 KHz FDMA technology. NXDN™ offers a variety of advantages including spectrum efficiency and stability, scalability, flexible channelization, and wider coverage area.
An NX-5000 Series radio automatically identifies a call signal – whether it’s P25, NXDN™, or FM analog – and transmits in the same mode received.
Enhanced Mixed Zone allows any digital CAI and/or FM analog to reside in the same zone. Zone scan automatically sets all users in the same zone in the same RX/TX mode.
Integrated luminance sensor on a 2.55-inch (154 x 422 pixel) 65,536-color TFT display automatically adjusts the brightness of the backlight. On the screen, text data is shown in multi-line, as much as 5 lines.
The front panel can be removed and used as a remote controller. Also the Featured Panel* and RF Deck can be purchased separately to create Multiple Configurations. *Available in March 2015
